26 And as they were eating......

[They were already eating the bread and drinking the wine.] 

Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. 

[Did Jesus at that point suddenly transform bread into his actual body? No. This was the bread that they had already been eating. He was saying that it REPRESENTED His body, surrendered in death at the Cross.]

27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; 28 For this is my blood of the New Covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

["Drink YE (plural) all of it" indicates that the 12 there gathered were to drink the contents of the one cup as it was passed around the table. This is the same cup that was being passed around before verse 27. In 28 He specifically identifies it as REPRESENTING the New Covenant, brought into being and completing His fulfillment of the Old Covenant, by His going to the Cross for the remission of sins for all who would accept His free gift.]

 29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you tin my Father’s kingdom.

[Jesus clearly identifies the contents of the cup as the "fruit of the vine." He will drink it again when He comes into the Kingdom of God on earth, seated on the Throne of David, ruling with the 12 Tribes of Israel from Jerusalem. Obviously, He and they will not be drinking His blood when they participate in that joyful occasion.]

30 And when they had sung a hymn, they went out into the Mount of Olives.

[Lord, grant that we keep singing hymns of praise and adoration.]
