How do you know if someone might be demon possessed but doesn't show any signs?

You will seldom meet a person who is "demon possessed". The Greek term, incorrectly stated this way, is best translated into English as 'demonized' or "one having a demon". (Not every demonized person recorded in Scripture was like the "Demoniac of Gazarene".) Whether a Christian can be demonized is a "disputable issue". We are wise not to argue the point because 2 Timothy 2:22-26 seems to say that "Arguing About Theological Positions Is Sin". Christians can be demonized, in my opinion, because of my experience praying with many to be delivered from one or more demons. Most deliverance experts teach one is wise not to attempt to deliver a non-Christian. Galatians 5:6 seems to state clearly that: "If They Ain't Lovin', They Probably Ain't Saved". But Scripture also tells us Satan is an "Angel of Light". Plus his wily demons have had thousands of years of practise fooling us. Prayer and the "Gift of Discerning of Spirits" are one's best root to discernment, I'd suggest. But, without deliverance training by someone with considerable experience, you'd be wisest to seek out one who has to help anyone you sense is demonized. Blessings all!

There is no spiritual thermometer to measure this but the bible does tell to try every spirit with the word of God since you can't use your senses to dictate if one is demon possessed or not, all you need to do is look out the actions of the person does it correspond with the word of God? The bible says from the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks and that a good man from the good treasures of his heart bring forth good things same is an evil man which brings forth evil because his thoughts are continually evil and this you will know by the fruits the person bear which are his deeds/actions. Then another practical way of knowing through the word of God is to try casting out the evil spirit from the person using the name of Jesus. Look the person eyeball to eyeball and command the evil spirit to come out in the name of Jesus. Before this you must have witnessed some strange experiences from the person which does not depict the character or fruits of the spirit. In using the name of Jesus you don't wait for signs to see the person fall down before you know the person is dispossessed. Use the name by faith for it never fails and will never.
