Are the 10 Commandments considered Mosaic law or not?

In the New Testament we read about Mosaic Law in various places and I know that some people do not consider the 10 Commandments to be a part of Mosaic law. This I do not understand, thanks!

The 10 commandments are not part of Mosaic law. Moses did not make them. God gave them to him.

They are part of what is considered the "Mosaic" law.

And as 2 Cor 3:7 says the 10 Commandments are they only commandments written in stone....The only thing they produced was death, i.e. "the ministry of death"

2Cr 3:7 NKJV - But if the ministry of death, written [and] engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which [glory] was passing away,

I do not pay any attention to them because gentiles were NEVER under the law..(Rom 2:14, Eph 2:11-13) And are not now under the law but under Grace...(Rom 6:14)

Having said that Jesus did give us a NEW commandment,

Jhn 13:34 NKJV - "A NEW commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.

Even though the OT law said "love your neighbor as yourself" (Lev 19:18) Jesus' NEW commandment says, "love on another AS I have loved you"

If anyone knew the law, Jesus did,. And if he says it's NEW then it is!

Having said that, there is ONE other thing we must do,

1Jo 3:23 NIV - And this is his command: to BELIEVE in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, AND to love one another as HE commanded us (see John 13:34)

That is how I attempt to do the WILL of God...

Praise the Lord!

The Ten Commandments ('Ten Words' in Hebrew) is at the core of Mosaic Law - gift of God to Israelites. The point of argument is how it is relevant to the Christians. All the laws and covenants in O.T. is relevant once they are filtered through the person of Yeshua. That points to Sabbath. No, we are not those who keep sabbath day as such (except those of sabbatarianism, of course). Because Yeshua Himself is our sabbath-rest. Whether we keep a certain day of the week or not is a moot question. It has also nothing to do with having a worship day on a certain day, neither.
