We cannot trust someone we don't know, and that is the secret of learning to trust God. When someone says, "Trust me," we have one of two reactions. Either we can say, "Yes, I'll trust you," or we ...

A refuge is defined as: 'a place of shelter, protection, or safety, anything to which one has recourse for aid, relief, or escape.'

In Psalm 46:1 we read, 'God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.'

God is the one we can, and should, always turn to first when we are in any kind of trouble because He is the only one who knows every detail of the situation and the only one with the complete and perfect answer to the problem.

God, to me, is a stronghold and a tower, a help that never fails. I've tried Him again and again. He never fails. Satan may tempt and attack, but he can't stand up to God! 'God is [always] protecting me when I trust Him, not to pamper me but to strengthen me to send me back into the battle! (Ps 29:11; 68:35; Isa. 40:31).' --Wiersbe God is my refuge in time of a sexually tempting situation because then I remember Jesus never succumbed to any temptation.

After all, God is omnipotent. So if God be for us, who can be against us? God + 0 is a majority.
