The Bible presents a clear path to eternal life. First, we must recognize that we have sinned against God: "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). We have all done t...

I know I get/got eternal life from Jesus Christ, who is the source of eternal life for anyone who asks, because of 1 John 5:11-12. See also John 11:25-26 – As the hymn writer put it, “He [Christ] lives, who died; he reigns on high;
Who lives in him shall never die.” (John 14:6; Romans 5:21; Hebrews 5:9; 2 Timothy 1:1, 10; 1 John 5:20).

I could never work for eternal life because eternal life is a gift (Romans 6:23 See also John 6:27-- Jesus urges a crowd by Galilee's shores not to "work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you (see both Jn 6:27 and John 10:28; Ephesians 2:8-9 I could not attain it by a being good person, and you can’t get eternal life by doing good, either.

I refer to John 3:36, life eternal is a gift to all those who believe in the Son but will be withheld from all those who reject him (Jn 3:36). It is received by faith (John 3:36 Faith in Jesus Christ, God's Son, is the only way to gain eternal life. See also John 3:16; John 5:24; John 6:40; 20:31; 1 Timothy 1:16.

In response to charges of Sabbath-breaking in Jerusalem Jesus urges listeners to heed his message and trust God; to do so is to have "eternal life." This means to escape from condemnation on judgment day and in the age to come. In the present, it means a crossing over "from death to life" (John 5:24). I have; have you?

Everyone has eternal life because the last enemy to be defeated is death (I Corinthians 15:26) and Jesus defeated Satan (I John 3:8) and holds the keys to hell and death (Revelation 1:18). Jesus saved the whole unbelieving world (of which we all were - Romans 3:9-18) and took it back from Satan (John 12:47). The OT believers believed that (Isaiah 53:6). John believed that (I John 2:2, 4:14).
Now rethink where everyone will dwell because there is more than just heave or hell. There is only a heaven and earth but not only a heaven and hell.
For this reason do not be concerned about your relatives "getting saved" because the may not be a called out one (John 6:44-45) to be taught by the Father and perhaps being chosen as His special treasure (Exodus 19:3-6). We are to make disciples, which is all about cutting covenant with Jesus as Lord (Luke 9:23-24), which is a true Christ follower (Christian) a good tree bearing good fruit (Matthew 7:13-20) and fulfilling Fathers destiny for your life (Matthew 7:21, Ephesians 2:10).
In the end what happens. EVERY knee will bow and EVERY tongue will take an oath to follow the Lord Jesus (Isaiah 45:22-25). This will be easier for sheep who just went astray than for wolves, tares, vipers and serpents. Good news for one not so good news for the other.

I Corinthians 15:34-58 gives us a very good understanding of heaven and earth. However the best is Revelation 5:1-14. This chapter gives us the end of all things, even death or should I say life because death is dead. Here's the beautiful picture: Lion (Lord Jesus and King of kings) on the throne in heaven (V 1-5, Isaiah 66:1). The Lamb (Prince of Peace) is in the midst of or before the throne, which is the earth (V 6-8). A great multitude is singing a new song and they have been promoted to kings (government) and priests (church assembly) for the economic and military systems have passed away (V 9-12) Notice in verse 12 that Lion is missing - very significant. Now something significant happens and we see every creature and I will not interpret this away for I believe it is every person who ever lived on the earth. They are in heaven (best), on the earth (excellent), in the sea (excellent) and under the earth (hell -not so good - Ezekiel 31:1-32:32. Notice that even Pharaoh is comforted in hell (Ezekiel 32:31-32) Also read Ezekiel 44:6-14 and see what happens to those cast out of Jesus presence. Ezekiel is an end time prophesy for this day and age. Be sure you understand the LORD"S supper and properly and discern the LORD"S body so that you are not condemned with the world (I Corinthians 11:24-34) upon whom the end of the age has come (I Corinthians 10:11-12).

Hell, fire and brimstone and the lake of fire:
1) The fire and brimstone is God's voice (Isaiah 30:30-33) and Father is about to kindle the fire (Hebrews 12:11-29) and burn up all dead works (I Corinthians 10-20).
2) Who is in hell (Revelation 20:1-15):
  a)the beast (V 10) (tares in the Christian Church that were planted by Satan (Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43, John 8:31-47),
  b)the false prophet (V 10)t (wolves) in the Christian Church (Matthew 7:13-29) and we are sent out among them (Matthew 10:16) but the elect are not deceived because they only listen to the Masters voice (John 10:27).
  c) Satan (V 10)
  d) All those whose books were devoid of works of the Spirit (yes works V 12) and thus there names were not written in the book of life (V 11-15).

Oh, yes the elect or chosen also appeared before the great white throne judgment which is the judgment of the wolves in sheep's clothing (Matthew 7:13-29). The wolves church built on sand (people) is washed away to reveal the rock of our salvation (Jesus Christ) (Luke 6:47-49). The elect at the great white throne judgment are the few who went through the narrow gate (crucified with Christ (Luke 9:23-24) and took the difficult path to eat of the tree of life and not the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (law). They were good trees (years to produce fruit - pecan trees 20 years, fig trees?, olive trees?) bearing good fruit of the Spirit and fulfilling their good works (Ephesians 2:10).

To him who has an ear to hear let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches.
