The answer to your question is by all means yes. In fact, salvation is the main idea of the bible, starting from the Fall in Genesis through to the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ, humanity's savior.

A central high-point of this biblical theme occurs in Daniel where he is thrown into the lion's den and emerges fully unharmed. It is specifically stated in Daniel 6:16 by Darius to Daniel "Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee."

This is the sublime and eternal truth - in effect even before the Fall and the thousands of years since - and perfected through the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit of Christianity.

John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me, will come to me, and all that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out. John 6:40 And this is the will of Him who sent me, that all that seeth the Son, and believeth on Him, may have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.

First Corinthians 15:1-4 The gospel. --That Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures, that He was buried and rose again on the third day, according to the scriptures.

If you believe He did it for you, you are saved and are given eternal life.

John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

Once you accept Jesus as your savior you are sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise. Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also after ye believed, ye were sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise.

Salvation is a free gift of God by faith alone. We are justified by faith in the risen savior. His blood sacrifice covers us from all sin, and we are counted righteous by His Spirit that lives in us.

Romans 4:5 But to the one that worketh not, but believe on the one that justifieth the ungodly, (all of us) his faith is counted for righteousness.

First John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may know ye have eternal life.

Galatians 1:8-9 Though we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you, than that we have preached unto you, let them be accursed. As we said before, so say I again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

There is no other gospel and their is no other savior. Jesus is the only way to be saved and when you believe it, you are saved for ever and ever and ever. It is eternal life. It is everlasting life.

John 6:39 And this is the Fathers will who hath sent me, that of all that He hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

Romans 11:6 It is all grace.(what Jesus did for us) not works, (what we do or do not do) if it was by works, what we do, then it would no longer be by grace or what He did for us. It can not be both. It is all His AMAZING GRACE. John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me HATH ETERNAL LIFE. Once we trust Jesus as our savior we are saved forever. How long is everlasting or eternal life? It is forever and ever and ever.

John 1:12 But as many as received Him, (the free gift of salvation by grace) to them gave He power to become the children of God, even to them that believe on His name. Once we become a child of God, we are a child of God for ever. He says He will never leave us or forsake us.

We are born into the family of God by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. Jesus plus nothing equals salvation by grace. All we have to do to be saved, is believe the gospel, and we are give eternal life at that very moment.

If you have never trusted Jesus before, do it now. Remember, he has never cast out one who comes to Him believing on Him. It is free. All we have to do is believe it to receive the gift.

What are we saved from? Hell where those that have never trusted Jesus will be for ever and ever and ever separated from the God who loves us. Where we will burn forever and ever and ever with no hope of ever getting out.

To answer, let me ask a few questions.

Have you committed acts worse than these?

Have you ever led a group of men to stone to death one of God's ministers?

Have you ever led a faction with the intent of ridding the world of all Christians.

Have you ever poked fun or belittled Christ himself?

Who has done these things and more and yet was Saved? The answer is the Apostle Paul who wrote much of the New Testament in the Bible and called himself "the worst of sinners". Jesus said that a physician does not come to the healthy but the sick meaning that sinners are the ones who need Him not the righteous. (And we have all sinned)

So even if you answered yes to the first question above (but how could you because Paul was the worst of sinners) the answer is still yes! And the great news is all you have to do for Him to Save you is to ask Him to, believe that He not only can but will and receive it.

Since I answered yes, I probably need to answer how. That answer lies in this question. Why are you going to die and/or what do you need saving from? The answer to both is the same. Because God is omnipotent and if you are omnipotent, then any decree you make has to come true. God decreed "The wages of sin are death!" Which means if you have sinned (and we all have) then death has to occur to pay for that sin. Either you have to die or someone has to die for you to pay in your behalf. If I wanted to die for you, though, I couldn't because I too have sinned and already owe my life. Only someone who has never sinned could pay for you. Since Jesus is the only man who never sinned, that qualifies Him to pay your debt, death, which he paid when He willingly died on the cross for you (and thankfully, me too).

After you are saved, give Him thanks by sinning no more. Repentance is important. Jesus has asked this of us. Not necessarily to receive your Salvation, but because He asked you. And how could doing whatever was asked be too much if it was asked by the one who gave His life to Save yours?
