The question "why did God create us?" can also be interpreted as "what is God's purpose in us?" For what reason were we created? What is our purpose? What does the Bible say? The earliest reference to man in the Bible is the following verse. Genesis 1:26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. God's Likeness Since God is a spirit being, "after our likeness" means having similar characteristics to His attributes or personality. This is a significant clue, which I will expand further. Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them. And God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth. Pro-Creation We are to "bear fruit", that is, to pro-create, just as God created us. And we are to care for all of God's living creations. The key to understanding why God created us therefor is tied to God's likeness, and our need to pro-create. Understanding God's heart Sometimes we focus so much on the logical that we forget what is God's heart. We are made in His likeness. In essence, our heart mirrors His heart. Jew or Gentile. Believer or non-believer. No matter what culture, race, religious belief (or lack thereof) or time period - we are all imbued with a need to pro-create. Every parent instinctively desires to have, and to love their children. Think about it. Why do we want to have kids? Each child we bring into this world increases our workload, takes away our freedom (time), consumes our resources (money), and gives us pain and headache. Yet despite the cost, the pain, the suffering (childbirth), we simply relish children. We LOVE our kids. We love every minute we spend with them. We love seeing them grow. We take pleasure in their first word, their first step, when their eyes light up, when they jump for joy. We sit by the bed and just take pleasure in watching them sleep. Our love for them is not performance driven. We don't love them only when they are well behaved. We don't love them only when they bring in straight 'A's. In short, our love for our children is not of "works". When our children were infants, we especially loved them out of "grace" - that is to say, they did nothing to "earn" our love. In short, we have kids to take pleasure in loving them and be loved by them. This is the single most important thing you can ever learn about God by examining our likeness in Him. God, our heavenly father, created us because He takes pleasure in loving us and to have us love Him in return. Not as robots (He gave us free will). Not as perfection (He gave us grace to make mistakes and learn). God understood love, that it grows through messiness. Any parent can tell you how "messy" and frustrating parenthood can be. But despite all our headaches, we love our children. In fact, it is these "headaches" that bind us as a family, and make us closer. We were not created as an experiment to prove God's sovereignty against Satan. God does not need to prove Himself to anyone, much less Satan. We were not created to glorify Him. God does not need us as "proof" of His glory. We were not created to worship Him. God's holiness is not validated by our worship. All the reasons commonly cited assumes God needs us to justify His existence or sovereignty. He doesn't. He made us because He takes pleasure in loving us and for us to love Him in return. That is why Matthew 22:37 says, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." That is our one true purpose and why He created us. 1 John 4:19 We love because he first loved us.

I've often spoken with atheists about this very question, and many times I've heard them suggest that God must be some narcissistic being to create us, little peons, to go around worshipping Him. God shouldn't need our worship, they say. Well they are partly right, God doesn't need our worship. The answer to your question is simple. If God does exist, if He is absolutely perfect - the embodiment of love, grace, mercy, justice, goodness - absolutely perfect. What is the greatest thing this being could do? Would it not be to create other beings to simply enjoy Himself? There is nothing greater that I could experience than personally knowing the omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, omni-benevolent creator of the universe. Nothing could be greater than my worshipping Him. It is for God's glory that I am created. He doesn't need me, He is completely self sufficient. But I, as a created being, should desire nothing more than to know Him, love Him, and worship Him.

This is one of those questions I'd have preferred not to answer. I hope no-one takes offense with the answer. Isaiah 14:12-14 14. Ezekiel 28:12-18, 1-2 PART ONE - REBELLION The devil rebelled in heaven, and with him a third of the host fell (Revelation 12:4). Please understand that the serpent rebelled BEFORE Adam was created. In his rebellion, the devil had proposed a 'better', or alternative, order in heaven, WHERE THERE IS NO LAW (I'm sorry to say, this is still the war he's waging on earth today). To prove ownership of a dominion, you must have laws that must be obeyed. Anywhere, this is the test. You can have a nation with no taxes, but there must be laws. This is what the devil set himself out to challenge (and people on earth are celebrating, ignorantly, with the rebel, claiming the demise of the law. That, fortunately (or unfortunately), will never happen). The devil’s arguments were so persuasive that a vast number of angels either sympathized with the devil or supported him outright. A third followed him. And to those who chose to stay, some continued with lingering thoughts - could this guy have had a point? But them, why disturb the status quo? PART TWO - EXPERIMENTATION In His Infinite wisdom, our God decided to create a miniature 'heaven', but with restricted bounds - both on life and power, wherein the adversary could try out his method, and let the angelic host be witnesses to the devil's formula which he had proposed to bring to heaven. So Adam was created, and he was created mortal (contrary to popular teaching that he was created immortal. There wouldn't have been need for the tree of life, if he had been created immortal.) Then the devil was thrust to earth to run a parallel dominion, should man consent. And man did consent, by opting into the devil's rebellion. PART THREE - DELIVERANCE Then God clothed Himself with humanity, and came to rescue His own. While men may not have recognized Him as such, satan and demons knew who He was. So did angels. And with horror they saw satan solicit worship from his Creator. Beyond their worst imagination, he murdered the Creator of the universe. Hence there remains no more doubt, both among the loyal and fallen angels. They saw the whole drama. Having ransomed men with His own blood, He will take them to heaven. PART FOUR - MEN BECOMES LIKE ANGELS For having chosen the path of life through obedience rather than death, men shall dwell with God forever, just like the angels. PART FIVE - SIN IS ENDED "Sin is transgression of the law" 1 John 3:4 KJV. Transgression of God's Torah will be ended. Both earth and heaven will concur that the wisdom of God is flawless, and will joyfully obey the Torah. PART SIX - GOD JOINS MEN ON A NEW EARTH Our God will come to a new earth, and there He will stay with us, His redeemed, forever. PART SEVEN - OUR GOD IS VINDICATED There's no more doubt in heaven (but on earth there still is doubt), on whether the devil's plan is an option. WHY DID GOD CREATE US? - TO SETTLE A CONFLICT OF COSMIC PROPORTIONS. Those who identify with the pre-fall order will be taken there, and those who choose the post-fall order will be incinerated, for no place will be found for them. Bless.

My opinion is that God created us because one of His numerous attributes is that of Creator. The Bible refers to Him as such in several passages, such as Genesis 14:19. The original meaning for "Creator" in this particular verse is, 1) to get, acquire, create, buy, possess a) (Qal) 1) to get, acquire, obtain a) of God originating, creating, redeeming His people 1) possessor b) of Eve acquiring c) of acquiring knowledge, wisdom 2) to buy b) (Niphal) to be bought c) (Hiphil) to cause to possess God is the Creator of so much more than what we see in this realm, and it is my belief that He has always been about the business of creating. It's important to note, also, that our earthly, finite realm was originally a part of the eternal, infinite realm before the fall of man. Creating us was just one little blip in His infinite history of creating things. I'm not trying to assert that there are other universes and other "earths," or that there might be life on other planets. All I'm trying to say is that God loves to create; that's what He does. Even when we mess things up, He loves to come in and create something good out of our messes. We are incredibly blessed to be included in His creative process for His sovereign purposes, to reflect His infinite glory.

To my oppinion.. god created us beacuse He want to test us in this world.. weather we are good enough to be in heaven or we are not being good so that we are not able to get the heaven and punished in hell.. theres only one god~

God created us for His honor and glory, but sin will take a lot of us that do not follow Him. He created us in His image and the ones that make it to His table will live forever glorifying Him. There are two paths, but only one leads to almighty God. We cannot imagine how wonderful it will be when we live with Him. Search yourself and make sure you are following the right path.

God created everything for Him and through Him (Col.1:16). He felt loneliness so he created everything for his pleasure. He created us because He wanted a father-son relationship. That relationship was not broken even when Adam committed sin, only the fellowship was broken. And for that He had a mega plan to restore from the wrath. This was accomplished on the finished work on the cross by Jesus Christ.

The question asked is "Why did God create us?" The reason is revealed to us in God’s divine plan. We are told that before the foundation of this world, even before Adam was created Christ was going to Calvary and die. 1 Peter 1: 19: But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, 21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. Ephesians 1: 4: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, God’s divine plan was determined before the foundation of the world for the purpose of us to be redeemed by his precious blood. When the Father said, "Let us make man in our image," this he spoke to Christ his Son. What is the image of God that we were to be created in? It was in the image of his Son. We know this now because through his spirit we are created in his image. God’s divine plan was to build a kingdom in Christ based on those that would choose to love him. Those who rejected his love are condemned. His kingdom would be created in his image. We now understand this by what the Apostle wrote: Ephesians 2: 10: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. When God had determined all things he hid them in Christ. Col 2: 2: That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; 3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. And again: 2 Corinthians 4: 3: But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. We are created in God’s image through Christ.
