I want to state once and for all that Christianity is NOT a bloody religion. There is not one single instruction, advice or command Jesus preached that is in anyway remotely associated with the shedding of blood. There is only one 'bloody' event that occurred in Christianity. That was when Jesus suffered a 'bloody' death at the hands of his enemies on behalf of us. Jesus asked us not only to forgive our enemies but more so to love them! (Matthew 5:44). It is one thing to forgive enemies by walking away, ignoring, avoiding contacts, moving away etc. But it is another thing to love an enemy who wishes to harm, attack, take revenge and instil huge damage on us. It is virtually impossible and yet that is what He asked us to do. So let's get away from the notion that Christianity is a 'bloody' religion, ever. The only bloody events in Christian religion are those that were caused or engaged in by leaders (Popes, Kings, Emperors) who abandoned the founder Jesus' preachings and engaged in wars, occupations, land grabs, killings, murder, assassinations, plottings etc. That history has absolutely nothing to do with Jesus who is divine. Just like then, today, some church leaders continue to sacrifice His teachings to accept emerging political movements e.g. homosexuality, abortion, drugs.

We are spiritual beings having a human experience, (not the other way around). In our human experience, we are given the opportunity to transcend through the sacrifice of Jesus to a greater existence. The vehicle, pathway, key, doorway, wormhole, to this greater and permanent plane of existence, is our identification with and sharing the blood of life and Jesus' blood sacrifice. Ecclesiastes 12:7 And the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it. Matthew 10:28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it for you on the altar to make atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that makes atonement by the life. Christianity is a religion of life and the life is in the blood.

A true follower of Jesus, a Christian would not, should not kill anyone unless it was in self defence. We are commanded "Thou shall not Kill (murder)" and "To love one another as I have Loved You" these commands are from God. What's happened in the past by so called Christians who killed (murdered) others is a sin. They have failed to follow simple Bible guidance and become a god themselves thus breaking yet another commandment. Regarding self defence. The time may come that you must defend your home and your family. As a Christian, we want to be ready to show mercy to others, as the Lord has shown mercy to us, but you should also be ready to do what is necessary to protect yourself and your family from the wicked. You do not need to pour guilt on yourself for defending your home and family. Finally if you terminate a life you could well have prevented repentance, reconciliation and the acceptance of Jesus. As a follower of Jesus that's not something we should be doing.

The one and only "bloody act" in all of Christ's Kingdom and the only one that the Bible records is the atoning death of our Lord and Saviour. People mistakenly attribute the many Old Testament records of wars and blood shed as being a part of Christianity when in all actuality the recorded events have nothing to do with Christianity and everything to do with the religion of the jews - Judism. Christianity and Judism are two different mono-theological systems in which one supercedes the other, rendering the latter null and void. Which is the entire premise of the NT book of Hebrews. Bloodshed associated with Christianity from the first century to the present day is not is not the result of the teaching of Christianity but rather reactionary actions of opponents to the Christian way of life who tried to eradicate Christ's way to true life from the earth which included jews, the Romans, Islam, paganism and a host of other "religions" that my want to equate and validate as being on equal par with Christianity. It denotes the evil intention of evil men to try nullify Christ on earth. It is time for every one to realize that Christianity is not a religion but a way of life that is everlasting and no matter how much blood is shed in effort to eradicate it, it has a 100 percent record of proof that it is here to stay and continually advance by peaceful advance as taught through the teachings of Christ unfettered by the way evil men interpret His teachings and its evil opponents. True Christianity instructs it believers to "...hold to my (i.e. Christ's) teachings and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free". Christ's teaching never has advocated bloodshed as the method for advance the way of life (only way of way) for lost humanity.
