The Lord created families as a beautiful extension of His image. Sadly, in our fallen world we are born in a natural sinful state and can only be redeemed by our Creator. Our natural state is selfi...

Can God break the cycle of Generational curses?
Number 14:18
‘The Lord is slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, forgiving iniquity and transgression, but he will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, to the third and the fourth generation.’
James 5:16-Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
Galatians 3:13-Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”—
Jeremiah 17:5
Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the Lord.
Ephesians 6:12
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
Genius 12:23-I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
Deutoronomy 28:1-13
And if you faithfully obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God. Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your cattle, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.
Deutoronmy28:15-68,
But if you will not obey the voice of the Lord your God or be careful to do all his commandments and his statutes that I command you today, then all these curses shall come upon you and overtake you. Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the field. Cursed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. Cursed shall be the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock. Cursed shall you be when you come in, and cursed shall you be when you go out. ...
Psalms 103:17
But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to children's children,
Romans 6:12
Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, to make you obey its passions.
Ezekiel 18:19-20
“Yet you say, ‘Why should not the son suffer for the iniquity of the father?’ When the son has done what is just and right, and has been careful to observe all my statutes, he shall surely live. The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not suffer for the iniquity of the father, nor the father suffer for the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.
3 John1:2
Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.
Many scriptures confirm that family cultures can be destructive. You and I are also a product of our own family's heritage going back for many, many years! Some of the weaknesses we have are a result of them being passed down directly to us by our parents' or grandparents' personal examples. In some cases a family sin may go so far back that no one now knows where it began!
A responsibility we all have is to root out these weaknesses and set a better example for our own children and grandchildren. This commitment to overcome our weaknesses and change our lives can also richly benefit our siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Studies show that families tend to reproduce their own culture and dysfunctions for generations. For example, selfish parents produce selfish children. An alcoholic parent is likely to produce alcoholic children. Spousal abusers often produce children who grow up and abuse their spouses or are abused by their spouses.

Parents with negative lifestyles and attitudes tend to produce offspring who are unproductive and discouraged. Research has demonstrated that approximately 90 percent of people incarcerated in the United States have had either a parent or close family member in jail before.

Habitual problems may go back for generations in your family, but you can be the Abraham or David in your lineage! You can be the one to make better choices and break the curse of generational dysfunctions in your family!

We need to recognize what is happening and make a conscious decision to, with God's help, create a new, positive family heritage.

By faith we understand that Jesus Christ took the curses we deserved and made an open triumph over them on the cross. We are no longer under the dominion of generational curses. We are forever consecrated to God through him

The only claim of generational sin that can be made is that sin passed on from Adam. Saying one suffers from a pattern of sin from their immediate family is a way of passing the buck of our responsibility for our own sin. What Jeremiah 32 is talking about is the consequences and responsibility for our own sin is passed from generation to generation (from Adam).
Repent and Believe. That's the key for breaking sin.

We must first of all understand that there is a difference between sin & curse. The Bible makes us understand that 'sin' is to FALL SHORT of THE GLORY of GOD (Rom 3:21-26). That is, living a LIFESTYLE where one's thought, confession or action works contrary to God's own. We are made to understand that sin was transferred to us generationally through Adam (Genesis 3:1-24). Now, curse is a result or consequence of sin.

Therefore, just as SIN entered the world through ONE man, and DEATH THROUGH sin, and in this way death CAME TO ALL PEOPLE, because all sinned—

To be sure, sin was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not charged against anyone’s account where there is no law.

Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who is a pattern of the one to come.

But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how MUCH MORE did God’s grace and THE GIFT that CAME BY THE GRACE OF ONE MAN, Jesus Christ, OVERFLOW TO THE MANY!

Nor can the gift of God be compared with the result of one man’s sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification.

For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!

Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people.

For just as THROUGH THE DISOBEDIENCE OF THE ONE MAN THE MANY were MADE SINNERS, so ALSO THROUGH THE OBEDIENCE OF THE ONE MAN THE MANT WILL BE MADE RIGHTEOUS.

The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more,

so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 5:12-21 NIV)

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! (2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV)

Sin has to do with our spirit. If one is IN sin ( BEFORE one surrenders totally to God through faith in Jesus Christ-John 3:16) the spirit is DEAD, however; when that one becomes BORN AGAIN (John 3:1-8, Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. -John 3:6 NIV) the spirit BECOMES ALIVE. We equally know that the actual man is a spirit (whether dead or alive) and has a soul , which is housed in a body. When that man becomes born again, the SOUL doesn't get born again, it can only be RENEWED by God's WORD which is HIS life & Spirit (Rom 12:2)

Therefore, I can say YES, one CAN get free from 'generational sin' by receiving Jesus Christ as LORD and PERSONAL SAVIOR (She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” -Matthew 1:21 NIV)

I have prayed and continue to pray in this area, and I believe in God's word. Children of Israel are clear examples of generational curses, but of the same line came Jacob, Joseph, Dave and Jesus. Curses can be broken, prayer directly asking the Lord to break it, fasting, laying of the hands, and steadfast prayer, continual prayer over the matter, and a daily reading of the word of God. You might have to separate yourself from those who are linked to the curse and are not aware, or haven't acknowledge that there is a curse upon them. The curse is like a cancer and it will spread if you continue to attach yourself to it. Remember, we must take up our crosses and follow the Lord. Willing to separate from mother, father, brother, sister, daughter, son and even grandchildren.

The simple answer is yes.

Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through Him [Christ] who strengthens me.

I Corinthians 10:13 - No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.

Yes,Generational Sins and bondage can be broken.but by those who are in Christ Jesus.we have to understand that Man is Spirit ,Soul and Body.while spiritual battles range in the Soul( Will,Emotion,Memory,Intellect, and Imagination) Generation bondage,is tied to a part of the Spirit ( Intuition ,Conscience ,fellowship, spiritual senses and Spiritual inheritance ) in the Inheritance you find Righteousness or/and iniquity.like the DNA,it is from generation to generation .Leveticus 16:39-42 says if we acknowledge our iniquities and that of our parents,God will forgive us.In the annual rituals,in the O.T,the High priest present two unblemished Lambs, one is sacrificed and the other left go in the wilderness ,Jesus Christ ,represent the Lamb that was killed for our Sins and Transgression,He also is Lamb that live to deal with our iniquities, which is where Generational bondage lies.so what is the way out,JESUS,1. Accepting Him as Savior,2. confess your iniquities and that of your ancestor,( Deutoronomy 30;15,19; Proverb 18:21,22) ask that the blood of Jesus shed on the cross will clean your spiritual inheritance .Believe it is done ,for all things are possible to those that believe

Yes, God can do anything. The generational curses that have been on us can be broken. One must want it to be broken and trust God for the healing to take place. I have personally experienced this in my life.

I personally was under a generational curse of epilepsy but with God all things are possible.

I read in the bible how Jesus deciples could not cast it out. They asked him why not so he answered this kind does not come out without much prayer and fasting. Mark 9:29 Mathew 17:21

So I fasted every Monday for about a year and I prayed in the Holy Spirit for hours and hours. Romans 8:26-27 God said in the scriptures that he saves who he decides to save and heals who he decides to heal. Once while praying I seen the Lord stand up from his throne as if he was attending to my personal prayer in a vision while praying.

But he also says whosoever calls on His name can be saved or for that matter be healed but he decides all things because with God all things are posdible. Mathew 19:26 Jeremiah 17:14

We can ask, seek and knock and God's word says the door or opening to the heavens can be made open. Mathew 7:7-8

Without faith it is impossible to please God but we can diligently and ferverently seek him for anything we have need of. All we have to do is be diligent and wait on the Lord. Hebrews 11:6

The kingdom of heavens suffers violence and the violent take it by force. The word of God is the armour of God and used properly can and will over come most if not all obstacles in life if we faint not. Mathew 11:12

I was healed in a prayer circle of four people in a dairyqueen parking lot after a Wendsday night church service. It was not planned but that day the windows of heaven were opened and my answer finally came.

I have to mention my prayer partner my wife prayed diligently for me steadfastly and diligently.

I am free and whom the son sets free is free indeed. John 8:36

Our God's mercy endures forever but you still must obtain mercy through petition that petition may come easily or it may come with much sacrifice. Psalm 136

The blind man cried out; "have mercy on me oh son of David." The deciples told him to be quite. The blind man cried out even louder still and he was healed by Jesus. That was diligence in the face of advercity. Luke 18:38

Praise Jesus!

Only by following the Most Highs laws, and commandments, and carrying out HIS will, can the cycle of generational sin be broken.
