Dear Anonymous, Elihu used this idiom to express the pressure that was building up in him, because he needed to release the anger that he felt towards Job and his friends. I believe we all can learn something from this situation. In that, it is wise to speak up, instead of allowing our negative emotions or feelings to take over and cause us to sin.
