How can any church perform a same-sex wedding? Isn’t it clear in the Bible that marriage is a heterosexual union?

Lamentations 3:24: "The Lord is my portion, says my soul, therefore I hope in Him."

Jeremiah was called by God before he was born. He did not speak of his own imagination, as did false prophets. If you have eyes to see and ears to hear you know that they (false teachers) are everywhere even today!

Jeremiah 3:14,15: "'Return, O backsliding children,' says the Lord, 'for I am married to you. I will take you one from a city and two from a family, and I will bring you to Zion. And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.'"

Jeremiah 4:1,2: "'If you will return, O Israel,' says the Lord, 'Return to Me. And if you will put away your abominations out of My sight, then you shall not be moved.'

"'And you shall swear, "The Lord lives in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; the nations shall bless themselves in Him, and in Him they shall glory."'"

Now I know that it says Israel, but remember, ALL scripture is for our knowledge and understanding.

1 Corinthians 1:31: "That as it is written, 'He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.'"

God uses the foolish to reveal His truth. Otherwise the powerful would boast of their own truth!

As Christians we must stand on the truth of God's word. Today, as in previous times, false doctrine exists!

A good time ago, I asked a minister about homosexual marriage. He staunchly declared, "That would be my decision." What? "Besides, there isn't any homosexuality in the Bible." Huh?

Needless to say that is a very telling remark.

Moving on... Ezra 7:10: "For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the Lord, and to do it and to teach the statutes and ordinances in Israel."

Ezra chapter 10: After the return from Babylonian captivity, the Jewish people were marrying pagans. (Those of a different belief, so to speak.)

Today, in our "Babylon," improper relationships are flourishing. Why not? People say, "I'm good, you are too, God is good, He loves everybody!"

Why doesn't the church take a stand on the Bible? Wait, we are the church, the believers in His Holy book... yes, believers are to study THE BOOK and know what it says!

I believe much of "the church" today is a business, like any other. A club if you will. It is a way to make money.

The teachers/preachers don't preach truth, because they haven't been taught! The people in the church don't take time to get to know what the Bible says! They depend on a quick, fun half hour, have some social time, and then all is well!

Malachi 3:6: "For I am the Lord, I do not change; therefore, you are not consumed..."

Lamentations 3:22: "Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. (V.23) They are new every morning; Great is Your Faithfulness."

Lamentations 3:24: "The LORD is my portion," says my soul, "Therefore I hope in Him."
