Did Mephibosheth ever walk again?

2 Samuel 4:4

ESV - 4 Jonathan, the son of Saul, had a son who was crippled in his feet. He was five years old when the news about Saul and Jonathan came from Jezreel, and his nurse took him up and fled, and as she fled in her haste, he fell and became lame. And his name was Mephibosheth.

As I read the relevant portions of Scripture, there is no reference to anything that would have changed the lameness that befell Mephibosheth as a child, as described in the cited passage (even though he apparently subsequently married and had a son, as mentioned in 2 Samuel 9).
