Some thoughts:

Being a believer does not mean that we will never experience adversity, as happened to Mary, Martha, and Lazarus.

Take situations that you cannot deal with to God, as Mary and Martha did in informing Jesus that Lazarus was sick.

God's timing and purposes are not necessarily the same as ours (as indicated by Jesus' delay in responding to the notification that Lazarus was ill), but are still intended for both His glory and our ultimate (eternal if not also temporal) good.

Maintain faith (as Martha did), no matter how dire a situation may seem from a human perspective.
