The "table" is a metaphor for the provisions that are placed on it (as would be the case in a feast). David is saying that God is supplying all his physical and spiritual needs (including protection from his adversaries) in a lavish manner that is obvious even to those adversaries, and as if purposely showing them the futility of their opposition to David.
