I would say that Job did not exclude the possibility that God might allow his death through His permissive (rather than decretive) will (just as He had allowed Satan to inflict Job with all the other calamities that had befallen him), but that he (Job) shared the faith expressed by Paul in Romans 8:28 that God makes all things work together for good (which I would characterize as the eternal good, if not necessarily the temporal good) to those who love Him. That is what allowed Job to continue to trust in God in the manner described in the cited verse, and that he also expressed in Job 19:25-27.
