Which creation story was written first, the Genesis story or Psalms 104?

Psalms 104:1 - 35

ESV - 1 Bless the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, you are very great! You are clothed with splendor and majesty. 2 Covering yourself with light as with a garment, stretching out the heavens like a tent.

John 7:22: "Moses therefore gave you circumcision (not that it is from Moses, but from the fathers), and you circumcised a man on the Sabbath." Jesus said this.

The law was given by Moses in the wilderness. Moses, in Exodus 15, sang a song, of praise with the children of Israel in the wilderness.

Psalm 104 is a wisdom Psalm as well as a creation Psalm. It is like Psalm 19. It is a poetic recasting of Genesis 1. Psalms were written in a language of response. They were meant to be sung. The nature of the Psalms was always creation.

To me this implies that the world had already been created. The wonder of creation, caused the heart to sing to God. Your eyes cannot contain all that is in your heart.

"Creation" is a term of faith, a belief that God is!

When I look at Gesesis 1, I see these words, "God created, God said, God saw, God separated, God called...let there be..."

This alone tells me that Genesis 1 is the true story of creation.

Psalm 104 is beautiful and poetic. But, it uses the terms, "You, Yourself, Your” (hand, face Spirit), and He when speaking of God. It is unlike Genesis in saying, "God said, God created, God separated, God saw, God called, Let there be..." etc.

God could surely write poetry. But I believe the message is God created. The Bible is His biography written for us to understand who He is. It is His one and only Holy Book for us relate to Him.

Look at Psalm 104:34: "May my meditation be pleasing to Him, I will rejoice in the Lord."

At least that is how I see it.
