How can one live a Godly life being single?
I need answers to help teach others how to live a godly life being single.

I feel that the best way to tell someone how to live a godly life while being single would be to ask them how much do they love the Lord? In order to love the Lord enough to want to live a godly life in this present sin-filled world you would need to be close to the Lord....just like in a relationship or friendship. When you spend enough time with someone you get to know them on a deeper level and therefore feel close and want to help or please them. Same for God. By keeping yourself reading the word you get to know Him and what he is asking of all of us. Staying in fellowship with Him through prayer is also a way to keep Him close to our hearts. When you do these things you develop a bond and a love for the Lord and want to follow His will and therefore begin to live a godly life because to sin would mean grieving Him or hurting him. You don't purposely hurt the ones you truly love and you can't truly love unless you spend time getting to know them. It's a purposeful act that we have to choose so that a godly life can be achieved.

I would say, to live a godly life as a single person requires being totally dependent upon the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit has been sent to help every believer in this walk of faith. He is the one who changes our desires, and puts His desires in our hearts to please God the Father. The Holy Spirit is the one who sanctifies us, and we must yield to the process. He will perfect everything that concerns us. We simply have to trust Him!
