If Jesus is God, why does he hand the kingdom away in 1 Corinthians 15:24-25?

24 Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.

1 Corinthians 15:12 - 34

ESV - 12 Now if Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised.

Although each Person (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) of the One Triune God is by nature truly, eternally, equally, and fully God, the Bible indicates that there is an economical (that is, relational) subordination among Them. Their natures and attributes are equal, but They voluntarily submit Themselves with respect to the roles They perform in relation to creation and salvation.

The Father sent the Son into the world. Jesus perfectly submits His will to that of the Father to redeem us through His death and resurrection. The Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and Son to testify of Christ. Human salvation is a combined product of the Father's power and love (John 3:16; John 10:29), the Son's sinless life, atoning death, and resurrection (1 John 2:2; Ephesians 2:6), and the Holy Spirit's regeneration and seal (Ephesians 4:30; Titus 3:5).

Christ's handing over of the kingdom to the Father signifies the ultimate culmination of the mission that the Father sent the Son to perform, including the final defeat of all earthly and spiritual opposition to God's plan.
