It would have been a reiteration of Eliphaz's points because Job 15 marked the start of the second time that Eliphaz had spoken, and he was essentially making the same points that he already stated in his first remarks in Job 4-5.

Eliphaz was probably the oldest of Job’s friends. He obviously believed doctrine of retribution theology. This is to say, you get what you deserve. God will not punish a righteous man, and He will not preserve a sinner. Eliphaz had taken on God's job of judging! He indicated that he understood God's mind completely!

Notice in chapter 4:5, Eliphaz says that Job is "weary." In verse 2 of this same chapter he had said Job would "become weary." His reiteration states that He recognized a contradiction in Job's dialogue.

Eliphaz condenses Job's words from chapter 12-13:2, in 15:8-10. 

Eliphaz restated the words he said in chapter 4:17,18 here in chapter 15:14,15. 

He sneers at Job's remark in chapter 14:1.

Verses 17 & 18 of chapter 15, Eliphaz says, "What I have seen" reflects his statement in chapter 4:1, "If one attempts a word with you, you will become weary."

Bildad had already said in chapter 8:8-10, "For inquire of the former age...We were born yesterday...Will they not teach you?"

In chapter 15:21, Eliphaz, using the word, "dreadful," attempts to prove that Job is a wicked man.

In chapter 3:25, Job had said, "...what I have 'dreaded' has happened to me."

15:23,24: Eliphaz reverses Job's lament about his birth in chapter 3:4,5 by using the term "a day of darkness" in chapter 10:18-22.

Look now at chapter 14:20: Job says God prevails against man and he dies. Eliphaz in 15:24 says that a wicked man's fears overpower him.

Chapter 15:34: See "And fire will consume." Look at what Job says in chapter 1:16, "The fire of God fell from heaven."

Eliphaz’ reiteration of the story is very evident in this chapter 15.

Psalm 2:12: "Kiss the Son lest He be angry and you perish in the way."

Elihu in Job 37:14: "Listen to this O Job: stand still and consider the wondrous works of God." Elihu was the youngest in the group.

Job 32:8,9: "But there is a spirit in man, and the breath of the Almighty gives him understanding. Great men are not always wise; nor do the aged always understand justice." —Elihu
