Luke 6:43 - 45
ESV - 43 For no good tree bears bad fruit, nor again does a bad tree bear good fruit. 44 For each tree is known by its own fruit. For figs are not gathered from thornbushes, nor are grapes picked from a bramble bush.

I would say that (as the Bible makes clear in verses such as 1 John 1:8) no human (including redeemed believers) can truthfully claim to be without sin. However, believers (through the working of the indwelling Holy Spirit) will continually recognize instances when they fall short; will seek God's forgiveness for them for Christ's sake; will resolve not to repeat them; and will consciously strive not to have their lifestyles characterized by deliberate, unrepentant sin.

Don’t we all produce "bad fruit" sometimes? (Luke 6:43-45). Jesus said in Luke 6: 43 “No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. 44 Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. 45 A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart." Yes, I would say there is a little good in the worst—and a little bad in the best of us. But Jesus was speaking in broad general terms, not in specifics. QSB
