I'm 30 minutes past my bedtime, so I will be brief and not be quoting scripture. The fact that you are asking God Himself implies you expect an answer. That is faith - you trust and you believe enough to question. If you mean it in a different context, such as, “How could you allow this terrible thing?" maybe the question should then be, "Am I giving God credit for the devils actions?" God is absolutely good. If this bad thing happened, could it have been done by someone absolutely good? Another thought on that same line of thinking: seed, plant, harvest. This is God's law. Did this bad thing happen because of what someone sowed? A man smokes his whole adult life constantly saying, "These things will kill me yet,” and dies of cancer. He reaps the seed he planted. I know I oversimplified the concepts, but it's 3:30 a.m. I hope I understood your question correctly - and my answer at least provoked some thought. God bless.

I would have to say NO. God knows that we are imperfect since He created us. And knowing all about us, He would know that in our traumatic times, such as when those children in Texas were murdered, we would question everything while trying to come to terms with the new reallity. Only failure to return to Him would demonstrate a lack of faith. Pope John Paul II admitted to moments where he questioned God in the beginning of Poland's struggle to break free of the USSR. I doubt there are any that would accuse him of having been unfaithful.

Does questioning God demonstrate the lack of faith? I don't feel it is a lack of faith; the reason why anyone will question a situation or circumstance is simply that you don't understand why such an event happens, so is fair to ask questions. So it is a question of understanding God more, and with that we come to the realization of who he truly is and that our ways are not his ways, nor our thought his. His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than ours, the bible says. So it is better we pray to him to make us understand. God bless you.

No, it is not a lack of faith. God is also our best friend and has all the answers, while we have just a few. Many people in the Bible questioned God. Example: David. God is with us for a lifetime and tells us to ASK and we will receive. Seek and you will find it in Him. Nothing is impossible with God, so if we are in Him, then there is no power that can come against us.
