Why did God write the Ten Commandments on two tablets of stone and not just one?
Exodus 34:1
ESV - 1 The Lord said to Moses, "Cut for yourself two tablets of stone like the first, and I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke.

In my opinion, the use of two tablets indicates the difference in focus between the first four commandments (which pertain to humanity's relationship with God) and the last six (which pertain to humans' relationships with each other).
