Psalm 40:7 "Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,"

In my opinion, the psalmist's (that is, David's) reference in the cited verse to the "book that is written of me" pertains specifically to the book of Deuteronomy as a summation of the duties and commandments pertaining not to the conduct of David as a private individual, but in his capacity as a king. (Of course, the passage could also be viewed -- as was the case with multiple other similar passages in the psalms and elsewhere -- as also having a prophetic future meaning with regard to the Messiah.)

This Psalm is really about Jesus. The book referred to is the Bible. It is all about Jesus from cover to cover.
