What are your thoughts on Paul, in his second letter to pastor Timothy, calling women who are played on by treacherous, arrogant, reckless, conceited men, silly? (KJV)
Is this evidence of a pattern with Paul when the subject is women? How would this go over in 2022 if pastors David Jeremiah or TD Jakes said this of their own accord (not reading it from scripture) while preaching to a congregation?
2 Timothy 3:2 - 7
NASB - 2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy. 3 Unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good.

One translation of this verse (2 Timothy 3:6) renders the word in question as "vulnerable" which, even if applied to women specifically -- as the Greek word (which is found in the Bible only in this verse (2 Timothy 3:6)) does -- could be regarded as a product of cultural upbringing and established social status and customs, rather than personal condescension or negative animus toward women on the part of Paul (who also said in Galatians 3:28 that in Christ there is neither male nor female).
