Is the land of the Gadarenes in Mark 5:1 the same area as the land of Genessaret in Mathew 14:34?

They are not the same. The land of the Gadarenes (who were also known as Gerasenes or Gergesenes) mentioned in Mark 5:1 was located on the eastern side of the Sea of Galilee (also known as Lake Gennesaret or Lake Tiberias), which is the body of water that is located at the northern end of the Jordan River.

The land of Gennesaret mentioned in Matthew 14:34 was located on the northwestern side of the Sea of Galilee, about three miles southwest of Capernaum.
