These Monks are members of the reformed branch of the Roman Catholic Cistercians. The branch was founded by Armand-Jean Or Bouthillier de Rance in France in 1662.

The Order follows the Rule of St. Benedict. It consists of both Monks and Nuns. (Trappistines)

The "Rule" was written in the 6th century. It gives a perspective on serving others, kindness to strangers, hospitality, (most of all), love of Jesus Christ and the Bible.

Today's world would benefit from these ideas.
