I'm not sure that it would be possible to make a general correlation between the size of so-called "mega-churches", and the soundness of the doctrine that they actually preach or teach. (If the church is affiliated with a larger religious body that has well-defined and Biblically-based beliefs, I would say that that would play a significant role in the church's theology.)

However, it seems to me that their size could present a potential challenge to them to make sure that they do not "water down" the teaching of Scripture in deference to the diversity of possible individual religious views or other motives (such as viewing church primarily from the standpoint of a social gathering) among the people who could be drawn to their congregation, in order to maintain the church's size.

They also should be on guard that they do not allow their religious message to be overshadowed by material concerns related to the amount of financial support needed to sustain them (even if that support is used to further legitimate evangelization or outreach efforts). (I remember even as respected a preacher as Billy Graham at one time routinely including in his crusade sermons a reminder to his listeners or viewers about the need for their financial support to allow the efforts of himself and his team to continue -- although it seems to me that he later dropped such language from his preaching (which, in my opinion, made his ministry more effective).)
