What are the benefits of "drinking water from your own well?" (Proverbs 5:19ff)

Proverbs 5:15-20 New Living Translation (NLT)

15
Drink water from your own well—
share your love only with your wife.

16
Why spill the water of your springs in the streets,
    having sex with just anyone?
17
You should reserve it for yourselves.
    Never share it with strangers.

18
Let your wife be a fountain of blessing for you.
Rejoice in the wife of your youth.
19
She is a loving deer, a graceful doe.
Let her breasts satisfy you always.
May you always be captivated by her love.
20
Why be captivated, my son, by an immoral woman,
or fondle the breasts of a promiscuous woman?
Footnotes:

Proverbs 5:15 - 20

ESV - 15 Drink water from your own cistern, flowing water from your own well. 16 Should your springs be scattered abroad, streams of water in the streets?

Since my wife and I just celebrated our 60th wedding anniversary, I can tell you there is a great blessing that comes with staying with your first love. We were married when she was 17, and I was 18.

Staying together has nothing to do with the free gift of salvation by grace, but it does have rewards in this life, and in the next.

People have told us many times that they know we love each other just by the way we look at each other across a room. You can not hide the kind of love we share.

I wish everyone could have the kind of marriage we have, but I know there are those who end in divorce, and I have nothing but compassion on them for the pain and suffering they go through for what ever reason.

I can only talk about the benefits. When we lost our second oldest son to an accident at age 42, we had each other to lean on. When we lost 3 grandchildren, we still had each other. Instead of life's trials and tribulation tearing us apart, it drove us closer together.

Are we perfect? Not by a long shot. But we overlook each other faults and weaknesses and love one another.

Since I have been retired for 14 years, we have had the time to spend together that I would not trade for anything. We can hardly stand to be apart.

I have to say the Lord has blessed us beyond measure. We have both been at the edge of death. I with a fatal sudden death cardiac arrest, and she with a bout of sickness that could have easily taken her life.

So, whether you are a believer or not, there are great rewards of staying together till death do you part. Even unbelievers in Jesus know it is true.

Just as an add on, my wife and I dated all though high school. We knew each other pretty well when we committed our lives to each other, even though we were very young.

He who has found a wife has found a good thing. I would be hard pressed to live alone. I would only be half here. I can only thank God for His mercy and grace for keeping us both alive for this long. We have both stayed faithful to each other for all our years. Love overcomes a multitude of sin.

As indicated in the passage cited in the question, the concept of "drinking water from your own well" is being used as a metaphor for the act of being faithful to your spouse, and not seeking love or sexual gratification elsewhere -- and especially from the "loose woman" who is described in the verses immediately preceding the passage cited in the question (Proverbs 5:1-14). This counsel is being offered because of the adverse consequences that will ensue from disregarding it, as described both in that earlier passage and in Proverbs 6:32-35.
