How valid are visions today? (Isaiah 6:1–13)
Isaiah 6:1 AMP In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw [in a vision] the Lord sitting on a throne, high and exalted, with the train of His royal robe filling the [most holy part of the] temple. AMPC In the year that King Uzziah died, [in a vision] I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and the skirts of His train filled the [most holy part of the] temple. CEV In the year that King Uzziah died, I had a vision of the Lord. He was on his throne high above, and his robe filled the temple.

God would certainly be capable of giving visions to people today (perhaps especially, for example, in areas of the world where there is little or no access to the Bible or the gospel message). However, the devil is also capable of such activity in order to deceive or attack, so it is necessary to be discerning with regard to any such occurrences. I think that any vision that would truly be sent by God would possess the following characteristics: -- It would not contradict information in the Bible. -- It would not present itself as having greater authority than the Bible. -- It would be given for a specific purpose, discernment of which (where necessary) should be sought through prayer. God would not give a vision, but then leave the person who experienced it in doubt as to its meaning. (In the Bible, God always provided such clarification through direct revelation -- such as with John in Revelation 7:9-17 -- or through other individuals -- such as the dream interpretations provided by Joseph in Genesis 40-41 -- or through subsequent events -- as with Peter (Acts 10:9-48.).)
