Moses was drawn out of the river and cared for by Pharaoh's daughter. He found and slew an Egyptian man.

Moses feared for his life and fled. The king of Egypt died and the children of Israel were in bondage.

Moses was called of God to deliver them. He was reluctant, but grew in his relationship with God. He trusted Him. He exercised faith in what God told him. Mostly, that is. He was not perfect.

In this scripture passage, Moses is giving advice to the priests, Levites and Joshua. He is preparing them for his death. He knew he was not going to cross into the land of promise.

Moses' advice is good for all believers. Once we have a relationship with our Heavenly Father, we know that wherever He leads, we will be cared for. As the children wandered in the wilderness, the cloud and the pillar of fire always protected them. They were never alone.

We can know that our faith will never be forsaken. God will be with us in whatever trial or joy we experience.

Years later, it is recorded in John chapter 14: 27,28, Jesus spoke similarly to His disciples.

We are to trust the Lord our God. We are to stand firm infFaith, wherever our journey in this gift of life.
