For a parent to leave their family, or worse, their child, is not only recognized as a sin by the Bible [1 Timothy 5:8] but also as a generally bad thing to do, even without taking religion, faith and beliefs into the equation. As a quote from the 44th U.S. President, Barack Obama: “What makes you a man isn’t the ability to conceive a child; it’s having the courage to raise one."

For anyone whose parent(s) have left them, thankfully we always have the accepting God, who will never hesitate to take in a believer and care for them as a mother or a father would.

1 Timothy 5:8
"But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever."
