(1 Kings 4:29-34) 2 Chronicles 1:12 "therefore wisdom and knowledge will be given you. And I will also give you wealth, possessions and honor, such as no king who was before you ever had and none after you will have." 1 Kings 4:29-34 29God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore. 30Solomon's wisdom was greater than the wisdom of all the people of the East, and greater than all the wisdom of Egypt. 31He was wiser than anyone else, including Ethan the Ezrahite-wiser than Heman, Kalkol and Darda, the sons of Mahol. And his fame spread to all the surrounding nations. 32He spoke three thousand proverbs and his songs numbered a thousand and five. 33He spoke about plant life, from the cedar of Lebanon to the hyssop that grows out of walls. He also spoke about animals and birds, reptiles and fish. 34From all nations people came to listen to Solomon's wisdom, sent by all the kings of the world, who had heard of his wisdom.

I would say that Solomon's wisdom was a gift imparted by God, regardless of whatever education or tutoring Solomon may have received as the son of King David. Even today, people who possess great amounts of formal education, or "book learning", may nevertheless be lacking in genuine wisdom with regard to applying that knowledge to actual life situations, or addressing fundamental issues such as man's relationship to God. It even seems that such learning can potentially impede a person's willingness to acknowledge the existence of God, the position of humans in relation to Him, or other subjects that can only be known through acceptance of divine revelation.
