Paul declares there is no difference between Jew or Greek, bond nor free, male of female in Christ Jesus. Our status as believers, followers of Christ does not consist of a hierarchy. However we can note from scripture that God's grace abounds in various measures. From our human vantage point of understanding, this may seems like God treats some better than others. Scripture also records Jesus's words in his parables that there will be degrees of rewards. God's blessings vary from one believer to another. We then begin to compare ourselves among ourselves which Paul says is not wise. I am content to leave all matters like this in God's hands for he is fair and just in whatever he does, no matter what I may think. When we want to judge God, or oppose his decisions, we then fall into the same trap as did Lucifer, when he wanted to be like God.

Does God not show favoritism? Romans 9:13-23 states God loved Jacob, yet hated Esau. Jacob's name meant the "supplanter". Some God shows mercy and others God hardened the heart (Rom. 9:18). Yet, Amen, God is omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, & and all loving using His mysterious ways His wonders (will) to perform.
