As far as I am aware, the Bible itself makes reference only to where Elijah came from (Tishbe, in Gilead, on the east side of the Jordan River)(1 Kings 17:1), without mentioning the names of either of his parents. The Bible makes reference to other individuals named Elijah (as in 1 Chronicles 8:27; Ezra 10:21; and Ezra 10:26) (just as it also does with other people who have the same name as one of the prophets or one of the heads of the tribes of Israel, such as Zechariah or Judah), along with the names of their fathers, but, as with those other people, these could not have been the same people as Elijah the prophet due to the time or location in which they lived. There are apparently some branches of the Orthodox Church that claim to know the name of Elijah's father, but, since they give varying names for him (such as Savah and Sobach), I would say that their beliefs arise from tradition, rather than from direct revelation, at least as far as such revelation is recognized from a Western Christian perspective (that is, as given in the Bible).
