Genesis is all about the creation, fall, and redemption of the human race through Jesus Christ. Around this centers all divine revelation and Scriptural truth.

Genesis is the seedbed of the whole Bible and is essential to the correct understanding of every part of it. Genesis is the foundation on which all divine revelation rests and on which it is built up. Not only that, but it enters into and forms a very integral part of that revelation. Every great doctrine of Scripture finds its roots in Genesis in germ, type, or simple revelation.

Main Purpose for the book of Genesis:

To reveal to man the origin of the heavens and the earth and all things therein; to declare God as the personal Creator and show that nothing evolved through billions of years; to reveal a there was life before even Adam and Eve were created and its destruction before Adam; to record the restoration of the earth to a second habitable state and give the facts concerning man and animals as we know them today; and to record the history of the fall of man, the second curse on the earth, and the sinful career of the earth for 2,391 years to the time of Moses, as an introduction to his law.

Selva has identified the major theme in Christ. I can add a little to our understanding about this amazing record.

Genesis means literally "In Beginning" or in English "In the Beginning," the Hebrew word BRASHYT. We learn :

1. There is a Creator of the heavens (plural) and the earth. This makes the earth unique in the cosmos.

2. The creator's name is ALHYM, not God. ALHYM created in Gen 1:1.

3. We learn in Ge 2:4 that ALHYM added another name YHVH, to give His full name as YHVH ALHYM.

4. ALHYM is a plural masculine proper noun and YHVH is a singular masculine proper noun. (Strong’s concordance). Translators who want to change his sex to a Feminine form are wrong to even want to do so.

5. The word create, “BRA” in Hebrew (pronounced “bara”) means to create something out of nothing – something only ALHYM can do. It occurs three times in Genesis Chapter 1, in v1 (the heavens and the earth), v21 (animals, insects, birds, fish etc), and v27 Man, named Adam in ALHYM’s own image (Adam in the flesh looked like ALHYM who is Spirit).

6. BRASHYT. Each letter in the 22 Hebrew alphabet has an picture associated with it. So each Hebrew word has a picture story. “B”, Bet= a tent, “R”, Resh= a man’s head. Combined BR= Son. “A”, Alef= ox-head, “SH”, Shin= two teeth, to destroy “Y” Yod = an arm with a closed hand/ a fist, and “T” Tav = a mark, covenant, a cross. So “in Beginning” (BRASHYT) also reads:
“ ALHYM’S Son created the heavens and the earth”
“ALHYM authorised His Son, to create the heavens and the earth, and to offer Himself as a sacrifice on a cross for a covenant”
Remarkably this is the Gospel message which Selva Moses has identified. ALHYM declares the end from the beginning (Isa 46:9-10)
And there’s more:

7. v2 “The earth was without form and void” is a wrong translation. The Hebrew word “eithe” means “became” (the same word is used of Lot’s wife who became (“eithe”) a pillar of salt for her disobedience (Ge 19:26). She was not like that! Thus the meaning of verse 2 is changed by the correct translation.

Why did the earth become empty and void?

Answer: Enter the Dragon, the serpent of old, Satan the devil (Rev 12:7-13) who failed in his coup detat in heaven and together with 1/3rd of the rebellious angelic hosts who numbered trillions (Ge 5: 11) was cast out of heaven onto earth where he wrecked ALHYM’s beautiful creation (Job 38:7; Isa 55:12). He successfully tricks Adam and Eve (Ge 3)

Genesis sets the stage for 6,000 years of Man’s history – 4,000 years to Christ’s incarnation plus another 2,000 years since then! We are Iiving in a critical time leading up to the 2nd Coming of Christ who will cut time short to save Mankind from self-destruction (Mat 24: 22). We are 2017, in over time, or 5777 years according to ALHYM’s Jewish lunar calendar since Adam. TIME will be cut short!

We should all get our lives right for the climax, the Omega point of history! Maranatha! “iEsou Come quickly!”
