The three greatest things you can do to prepare for a husband is: First renew your mind with the word of God and marry a man who has done the same. Romans 12:2 God's people are being destroyed by a lack of knowledge of God's word.Hosea 4:6

The second is to not be unequally yoked with an unbeliever unless God himself says differently which I doubt will happen since God is not double minded. God changes not. Hebrews 13:8 He is same yesterday today and forever.Hebrews 13:8 2 Corinthian 6:14

God spoke to me twice to marry my wife before we even dated or kissed. After he had spoken to me the second time. I asked my wife to marry me and she said yes after I told her about God speaking to me. She believed it.

We struggled for a few years adjusting to married life again and each other but now we are loving it. We also had made a decision that we would allow nothing to destroy our marriage. We are committed for life and whatever that life might bring.

The third thing is to ask God to send you the perfect man or woman. Nothing is impossible for our God to do. Luke 1:37

Remember not to judge by the flesh but discern with your Holy Spirit. Remember the inner person is more important than the outer person and that our heavenly Father knows all about everyone on the planet earth. Let him choose your mate. Your mate should be willing to nurse you when you are sick, love you when you're struggling with weight or self-control, and most of all pray about both your issues when they arise. The prayer part is really really important. Good communication is wonderful but prayer is number one.

Ps. The Lord is an excellent marriage counselor too. It is miraculous what he can do. When you can not figure it out on your own. He can intervene when he is asked too.
