Worshiping God is both a privilege and a responsibility. These verses inspire me to worship God as I consider His attributes and His works:

For His Goodness
Psalm 145:9 The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.
Psalm 119:68 You are good and do only good; teach me your decrees. (NLT)
1 Chronicles 16:34 "Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever." Compare the worship of the Philippian jailer, Acts 16:34. The VOICE Translation reads,
"The jailer brings them to his home, and they have a long conversation with the man and his family. Paul and Silas explain the message of Jesus to them all. The man washes their wounds and feeds them, then they baptize the man and his family. The night ends with Paul and Silas in the jailer’s home, sharing a meal together, the whole family rejoicing that they have come to faith in God."

For His Creation
Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Psalm 8:3-4 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him?

For His Cross
Philippians 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Colossians 2:13-14 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; 
Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

Doctrine fuels devotion. When I think deeply about the character of God, it inspires sincere worship.
