Where is the serpent that deceived Eve at the Garden of Eden now?

Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

Genesis 3:1

ESV - 1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God actually say, 'You shall not eat of any tree in the garden'?

In my opinion, the serpent that tempted humanity to fall into sin was an ordinary reptile that Satan possessed for that purpose, rather than being a case of Satan changing himself into the form of a serpent. (I think that this is supported by God imposing a punishment on the serpent through consigning it to crawl in the dust (Genesis 3:14).) As such, it would have died the death of any other animal.

Satan, however, remains very much alive, and (as a result of the manner in which he originally deceived humanity) is referred to as a serpent in other passages in the Bible (such as Revelation 12:9; 12:14; 12:15; and Revelation 20:2). However, Satan's ultimate and eternal defeat has been assured by Christ's death and resurrection. And, just as the original serpent was punished, Satan will be confined and tormented forever at the time of Christ's return (Revelation 20:10).

I have looked at this for some time. What I have seen in scripture is that Satan does not take on the form of a snake nor did he trick one into doing his direturn work. Gen. 3 shows the characteristics of Satan, not the physicality of him. In other words, Gen.3 shows what Satan is like (a cunning snake) not what he is or looks like. If you look at Isaiah ch.14:12-19 gives a better understanding especially verses 12-15,along with Ezekiel ch.28:12-19. Gen.3 has nothing to do with a literal snake nor the punishment of, the symbolism here as far as crawling on the ground has nothing to do with punishing a serpent but moreover with the privilege position Lucifer once enjoyed before his rebellion in heaven and now he is cast down lower than the cattle of the earth. There's a lot more I could go into, but I hope this helps a little.
