Although we tend to regard certain people as more sinful or less sinful than others from a human standpoint, this distinction does not exist in God's view.

Since the fall of humanity into sin, all human beings have inherited a sin nature that separates them from God at birth. And they are all equally in need of the forgiveness and eternal life that God, in love and mercy, has offered to humanity through Christ.

Even those who acknowledge their sin and receive Christ will still have hardships and problems in this life (as Jesus noted in John 16:33), because of living in a fallen world that accepts Satan as its "god" (2 Corinthians 4:4). 

But God judges each person individually, and does not "curse" anyone for the sins of their parents (Ezekiel 18)(although the parents' actions may nevertheless have adverse consequences for the child, as well, but it is not God who imposes those consequences). God holds each individual accountable for his or her own decision with regard to accepting or rejecting the forgiveness and salvation that God has made possible through Christ's sinless life, atoning death, and resurrection.

For individuals who have received that salvation through faith, any hardships or trials that they then experience are a means of drawing them closer to God as a source of strength for dealing with those troubles; of increasing their faith by causing them to rely more on His help, love, and mercy; and of allowing them to become more Christlike by taking up the "cross" of their difficulties daily and following Jesus (Luke 9:23).

The bible says "all have sinned". We all are sinners and all came from parents who are sinners. Being cursed was a punishment put on certain commandments in the mosaic law---like adultery, incest. However, we are no longer under Mosaic law, AND when Christ hung on the tree for us, not only did He fulfill the penalty for not obeying the law, for ALL people, for ALL time, but he took away the curses that were extra punishment for those sins.

That being said, I came from a criminal & addictive father, and wondered if my hardships in life were caused by curses. After many years of studying the word and various healing ministries, I gained more education and belief about what could be reconciled. My turning point happened when I declared before God I was "poor in spirit" and that I was His little child. For years of attending church, attending a christian school, nothing had happened thus far to make me feel a part of the body of Christ, until I prayed that prayer. Skip deliverance, skip self-help. Come before Christ declaring yourself as a "little child", and that you are poor in spirit (meaning the spirit inside of you that normally is capable of joy and peace is poor because it is lacking). You will be surprised at how blessed you begin to feel. And then you will see the family in the Kingdom a completely different way than family in the natural. It's such a blessing. I wish you the best.
