Why did God give exact measurements when he instructed people to build things in some places in the Bible?

Exodus 25:23

NLT - 23 “Then make a table of acacia wood, 36 inches long, 18 inches wide, and 27 inches high.

God gave very precise instructions in the Bible. He gave very specific measurements. Here are some examples:

Noah' s ark - Genesis 6:13-22. Exodus 25:10, 37:1-9, exact measurements for the ark of testimony. Exodus 25:23, the table (37:10-16).

There are many more exact measures, instructions through chapter 31.

In 2 Chronicles 2, Solomon has the temple built by the exact measurements given by God, to his father David.

God's commandments in Exodus chapters 20-24 are quite exact! Throughout the Bible we see this exact theme from God. In Ezekiel chapters 40-48, instructions, exact instructions are given for A NEW CITY, A NEW TEMPLE.

In Acts 1:4...(Jesus)...commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait... they did, and were blessed with the Holy Spirit.

Why all this exact instruction, measurements? When God repeats something it is for emphasis. I think the lesson is, despite setbacks, we are always to be filled with hope. We must know that God is always in control. His Plans are definite. These Plans will always come to fruition.

He moves in His own timeframe. Mark 1 "The beginning of the Gospel..." But there is no end, not to the Good News of salvation! God is saying, trust Me, I know the way!

I think one reason God gives such precise measurements is to make us aware that He not only knows every detail of our lives, but cares about every detail. As Mat 10:30 tells us He even knows the number of hairs on our head.Jesus told us this so that we wouldn't need to be afraid. (v 31).
