Was Sunday ever established as the official day of worship for New Testament Christians?
John 20:26 - 29
NASB - 26 After eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors having been shut, and stood in their midst and said, "Peace be with you. 27 Then He said to Thomas, "Reach here with your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand and put it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing.

Sunday was never established as the day of worship anywhere in the bible. Lets take a look at this verse and see what it really says. There are a couple words that give us the answer to what's really happening in this verse. "His disciples were inside again" When were His disciples all inside before this? John 20:19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled FOR FEAR OF THE JEWS... The disciples were indeed assembled on Sunday, but it was not for faith or worship rather it was for fear. Moreover "the doors were locked" Why would the doors be locked? If they were worshiping they would want the doors open. This was not a worship service but a worry meeting.

This one has created me a lot of problems. The answer is in Gods commandments,and Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath. Man changed it from the Sabbath to a Sunday because they say that`s when He rose body and soul into Heaven. God put the word Remember first because He new we would forget it. To me those that worship on a Sunday only keep 9 commandments. It`s well documented in the bible that Jesus,and the apostles kept the Sabbath,but not the Jews Sabbath full of traditions which Jesus tried to explain to them.

I believe it was, since it was on the first day of the week one week earlier that Mary Magdalene and several other women saw the empty tomb (the event that led to the eventual celebration of Easter). In fact, in Revelation 1, John mentioned being "in the Spirit on the Lord's day" (another term for the first day of the week) when he saw the risen Christ on His throne,
