I have Muslim relatives and I was with a Muslim woman for many years. So, I have first-hand knowledge in that sense, of Muslims.

The concept of Allah causes much dispute among Christians of the West. Some seem to think “Allah” is Arabic for a pagan moon god, whereas others recognize that Allah is the Arabic word for God. Many Christians in the Middle East, call God Allah.

As for Ramadan, it is one of the Five Pillars of the faith that Muslims must carry out. It consists of fasting and prayer from sun up to sundown. The Ramadan fast is then broken by the call to prayer and a meal.

When Ramadan is over, there is Eid, similar to our Christmas, whereby Muslims dress up in their finery and gather together. Present giving is observed and a special meal is prepared.
