"Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;" (2 Thessalonians 2:1-3).

"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth." (1 Timothy 4:1-3)

In the book of Revelation, (The Revelation of Jesus Christ) the apostle John is commanded to write concerning "the things which are". In Revelation 2:1-3:22 he writes to the seven churches which all show varying degrees of declension, some outright apostasy. The phrase "I have a few things against thee" is repeated several times. 

Although the indictments are pronounced and judgment certain, our gracious Lord Jesus continues to extend a loving invitation to the individual. "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." (Revelation3:20) It is very conspicuous and noteworthy that there is no reference whatsoever to the Church beyond Revelation 3. 

Based on my understanding of scripture it is obvious unification of the true Church will not occur as long as we are in these physical, sinful bodies attempting to understand and apply scripture with finite minds. 

Only when believers obtain their glorifed bodies and mind will there be true unity which I believe will occur during the millenial reign.

We know that our Lord is a God of "jots' and tittles" (Matthew 5:18). which should compel us to strive for a clear understanding of what God actually said in His Word, not what we "think" he meant. As a God of accuracy and precision the Holy Spirit does not tell one person or group one truth and the next something to the contrary. Yes, scripture can and often does have more than one application but there is only one truth. God's truth is not dependent upon our comprehension or compliance but based on the written Word and the faithfulness of God. 

"God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?" (Numbers 23:19)
