I believe that God wants us to have soft pliable ground in our hearts so that the seed of the Word can fall in our hearts and bear fruit. This is found in the parable of the sower. I do not believe that God hardens the hearts of His people, unless they have turned their back on Him. Even with this, it is His Mercy, to attempt to have you open your eyes and repent.
