Yes, I believe deadly bacteria and poisonous plants and everything else "wrong" is a result of the curse. Genesis 3:17-18 "And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;"

Notice in verse 17 we read "cursed is the ground for thy sake". I believe it literally means God cursed the ground because of Adam's transgression, it was punitive. It could also have a secondary application in that man has less time to get into mischief seeing that a considerable portion of his time is devoted to making a living. For most of us life, shelter and sustenance is no longer handed out on a silver platter as was the case in Eden. We have to work for it. 

Romans 8:16 "The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs - heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him. 

Praise God, because of The Lord Jesus' finished work a new day is coming! 

18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time n are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. 19 For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22 For we know that s the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. 23 And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. 24 For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.

I believe that these resulted from sin. When God created the earth, everything was good as noted in Genesis. When the fall of man occurred, the "good" that existed for man was tarnished by sin. There could have been mutations that resulted in poisonous plants and deadly bacteria but this is a scientific explanation. The simple revelation is that sin affected not just humans but the world around us also.

Prior to the first sin there was nothing on earth that could cause death because there was no such thing as death. Poisonous plants and deadly bacteria in particular may not have appeared immediately upon the occurrence of this sin. But, the sin of Eve and Adam set the stage for everything that causes pain, suffering, and death to occur between that moment in the Garden of Eden and the end of the world.
