Jesus was simply sort of telling God not to forget to resurrect him from the dead. He was expressing faith in God that his future prospects is in God's hands, and that God should act in line with the assurance that God gave him. His expectations were fulfilled. According to the Bible, god did resurrect Jesus from the dead! " This Jesus, when delivered up according to the definite and fixed purpose and settled plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and put out of the way [killing Him] by the hands of lawless and wicked men. [But] God raised Him up, liberating Him from the pangs of death, seeing that it was not possible for Him to continue to be controlled or retained by it" (Acts 2:23 - 2:24 AMP). "For David says in regard to Him, I saw the Lord constantly before me, for He is at my right hand that I may not be shaken or overthrown or cast down [from my secure and happy state]. Therefore my heart rejoiced and my tongue exulted exceedingly; moreover, my flesh also will dwell in hope [will encamp, pitch its tent, and dwell in hope in anticipation of the resurrection]. For You will not abandon my soul, leaving it helpless in Hades (the state of departed spirits), nor let Your Holy One know decay or see destruction [of the body after death]. You have made known to me the ways of life; You will enrapture me [diffusing my soul with joy] with and in Your presence" (Acts 2:25 - 2:28 AMP). "He foreseeing this, spoke [by foreknowledge] of the resurrection of the Christ (the Messiah) that He was not deserted [in death] and left in Hades (the state of departed spirits), nor did His body know decay or see destruction. This Jesus God raised up, and of that all we [His disciples] are witnesses. Being therefore lifted high by and to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promised [blessing which is the] Holy Spirit, He has made this outpouring which you yourselves both see and hear (Acts 2:31 - 2:33 AMP). God did not leave Jesus in the grave to see corruption. He acted in line with his promise.
Luke 23:46: And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I command my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost. Lord Jesus, as He committed His Spirit to the Father, reveals unto us as the scriptures are written. No one can take His life from Him; He has the power to lay it down and the power to take it up again, which He has received from His Father. (Joh 10:15-18) You shall not see Me for a little while, but after a little while, you shall see Me again, for then I am going to the Father. When the time came, He committed His Spirit into the God the Father's hand. The Father thus glorified Him to many people who saw Him walking among men, and the Lord Jesus then ascended to heaven in the presence of men who witnessed Him. (Luk 23:47-49,24:51/John 16:16/17:1/20:17/21) When our Lord Jesus was baptized, John the Baptist, who baptized Him, saw the Spirit of the Lord God descending from Heaven like a dove and abode on our Lord Jesus. When He was crucified, He cried out unto the Father, saying, “Into thy hands I commit my spirit.” Having thus said, “Lord Jesus gave up the ghost.” The Holy Ghost that came upon Him led His spirit to come out of the body. The scriptures revealed unto the prophets were fulfilled when the Lord Jesus said, “I thirst.” The vessel that was set of vinegar was given to Him for the thirst that he received, and He said, “It is finished,” and He gave up His spirit. For He came down from heaven, not to do His own will, but to fulfill the will of His Father who sent Him. (John 19:28-30) The Power of God the Father was given to our Lord Jesus when He surrendered His spirit; He committed it into God the Father's hands to raise the dead. The divine power is in His hands, just as we see with Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, with Satan standing at his right hand to resist him. Lord rebuked Satan, for He was set for the chosen ones as written, for the brands to be plucked out of the fire. (Zec 3:2) For they who were then the angels which are in heaven, as written in the book of Moses, as God the Father spoke to him. “I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob,” for he is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living. (Mark 12:25-27) For all this came to pass when the graves were opened, many bodies of the saints who slept arose and came out of the graves after the Lord Jesus’s resurrection. (Mat 27:52-53) Joel 2:32: And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered, as the Lord hath said, and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call. Ecclesiastes 11:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
