Yes, there is beauty in every human being. God has given us all something that is considered attractive. A child is attractive to their mother/dad. Something that is pleasing can over rule other unattractiveness; it can be personality, a physical feature, a way of caring for yourself, or beauty. Beauty is in the eyes if the beholder. 

You don't have to lust to feel attractive to someone of the other gender. The lust of the eye, the lust if the flesh and the pride of life are sins that can be overcome with the Holy Spirit controlling your life. 

The lust and pride of life comes from your fleshly side. If you are in Christ, you can overcome that fleshly desires that the world has to offer. We were made to reproduce, so were the animals, but we were made in the image of Almighty God and know the difference between good and evil. 

Protect your eyes and flesh of worldly desires and focus on God and His Will for you. Sure, you will be attracted to many persons for that is our nature, but you don't have to sin to enjoy the beauty of all individuals. Beauty is like the beauty of the physical world. There is the beauty of the mountains, the sea (water), the snow, the rain etc... Look at the beauty of the creation, which we are part off and see God in all his beauty that He made for all of us to enjoy.

Also, attractiveness is also love in different ways. If you are a Christian, you know that there are three types of love. There is Eros, the love for another of the opposite sex, there is Phileo, the friendship love, and then there is Agape, the ultimate love that God has for us. He loves us so much that He came down to die in our place so that we can have eternal life and live with Him forever.

It is a slippery slope. Unlike a nice looking car or a peice of art, there can be interaction between humans. Interaction can lead to thoughts that lead to lust. And we all know what Jesus said about lust or what happened to King David when he saw Bethsheba bathing on that roof. So, I'm saying there is nothing wrong with finding someone attractive, you just better be VERY careful and guard your thoughts and actions. Remember, Satan knows our weaknesses if we have mentioned them.

Finding someone attractive, and lust are two very different thought processes. Attractiveness is of the eyes. Lust is of the loins. Lust is sinful. Seeing something pretty and acknowledging it isn't sinful. 

Where do questions like this one come from? Maybe they come from guilty consciences that want to somehow clean it up. Maybe someone finds someone attractive whom they don't think they should be attracted to. A forbidden person, such as an in- law or a friend's mate. And the attraction is more than just that, it might be that they want it to be more, they lust for the person. 

Well welcome to the real world. That's why the bible says we all sin and fall short of the glory of God. (Rom 3:23) There's absolutely nothing that can be done to prevent that. 

The same thing happens when you go to your 20 year class reunion and your high school nemesis has rented a bigger car to pretend he owns than the one you rented. You're insanely envious of a rented car and don't even realize it. Is it sinful to be envious of something that doesn't even exist? 

That's what it's like to lust for someone and feel guilty about it. Can it be helped? Why feel guilty for being human? 

Envy isn't natural, and most of us don't feel guilty about it. It's natural to be attracted to people, and we feel guilty for it sometimes. 

What's the answer..? Don't go to your class reunion.
