Easter Sunday is a pagan holiday picked up by the Papacy and past on to Protestantism, and the rest of Christianity. Jesus died and Resurrected over the Jewish Passover Feasts on time according to Daniel 9:26, 27 and GOD’s Jubilee Calendar. Easter Sunday rarely falls on the real Passover Feast dates celebrated by the Jews because like our birthdays, that day of the week changes every year. Worse yet, the Papacy uses a Pagan Astrology Zodiac Calendar to set the date for Easter Sunday. Eastern Orthodoxy Christians use the Julian Calendar to set Easter to always happen on a Sunday, but it does not always happen on the same Sunday the Papacy date set. Christians seem to forget that Jesus was a Jew and us Gentiles were grafted into Christ’s Church. See Romans chapter 11.

Easter, also called Pascha (Greek, Latin) or Resurrection Sunday, is a festival and holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, described in the New Testament as having occurred on the third day after his burial following his crucifixion by the Romans at Calvary c. 30 AD. It is the culmination of the Passion of Jesus, preceded by Lent (or Great Lent), a 40-day period of fasting, prayer, and penance. 

The week leading up to Easter is called The Holy Week, or "Passion Week", and includes Palm Sunday (the day Jesus entered Jerusalem and was celebrated), Maundy Thursday (the "Last Supper" where Jesus met with his disciples to observe Passover), and Good Friday (when Jesus would be crucified on the cross). 

Easter is a very significant date within Christianity and is the foundation of the Christian faith. Jesus, the Son of God, fulfilled prophecy and through his death, has given the gift of eternal life in heaven to those who believe in his death and resurrection. Easter Sunday is all about the resurrection of Christ, one of the cardinal facts and doctrines of the gospel. If Christ is not risen, our faith is vain (1 Cor. 15:14). The whole of the New Testament revelation rests on this as a historical fact. On the day of Pentecost Peter argued the necessity of Christ's resurrection from the prediction in Ps. 16 (Acts 2:24-28). In his own discourses, also, our Lord clearly intimates his resurrection (Matt. 20:19; Mark 9:9; 14:28; Luke 18:33; John 2:19-22).
