All forms of addiction be it drugs, alcohol, or anything that is sinful bondage can be broken. Remember the word of The Lord who says to Abraham is there anything too hard for The Lord Genesis 18:14. Also remember that if you are a believer then you are the temple of God. Lord Jesus resides in you Col 1:27, God the Holy Spirit remains in you 1Cor 6:19, and God The Father also resides in you 2 Cor 6:16.

Furthermore, greater is He that is in you than the one (devil & his angels) who is in the world 1 John 4:4. Moreover, now in Christ we are more than conquerors as per Rom 8:37. And you have these treasures in earthen vessels so that the excellency and the power be of God 2 Cor 4:7.

Sexual addiction is a strong hold and with your strength you cannot get victory over it. Hand over the battle to The Lord by faith through prayer and stand still and see the salvation of God Exodus 14:13. The Lord says in Psalm 81:10 (latter part) open your mouth wide and I will fill it. Confess this as a sin with believers and pray for one another and I will also pray for you and the victory will be yours James 5:16 read with 1 John 1:9.

To encourage you I will give my testimony. Before I became a believer I was also addicted to alcohol & tobacco abuse in various forms for years but after I became a believer I knew that these are sins so I prayed myself and earnestly requested fellow believers whom I trusted to pray for me and within a couple of days I was released without any withdrawal effects.

We are more than conquerors through Him who has shed His blood for us on the Cross of Calvary but without Him (Lord Jesus Christ) we can do nothing.

I used to be addicted to pornography too. I asked Jesus for help and he did it. One day I could actually feel a spirit of lust come over me and the desire to masturbate but the fear of the Lord was stronger and I said NO! GET OFF ME! And the desire left. Keep asking to be filled with the Holy Spirit. God will lead you to freedom.

Yes porn can be defeated, If you are a true believer in Christ. All things are possible with him. I was hooked on porn but I knew it was wrong and I needed help. I prayed for Jesus to help me and started going to Celebrate Recovery and I have been able to resist the temptations even tho they are strong at times. I put my trust in The Lord, and tell satan to flee.

If you are a believer in Christ and are struggling with an addiction to internet porn, there is hope and help for you! The power of the Holy Spirit is available to you (Ephesians 3:16). The cleansing of God’s forgiveness is available to you (1 John 1:9). The renewing capacity of God’s Word is at your disposal (Romans 12:1-2). Commit your mind and eyes to the Lord (1 John 2:16). Ask God to strengthen you and help you to overcome pornography (Philippians 4:13). Ask God to protect you from further exposure to porn (1 Corinthians 10:13), and to fill your mind with things that are pleasing to Him (Philippians 4:8). These are all requests that God will honor and answer.

In all sincerely work on your mind and never look back on your decisions. God delights in you when you are truly broken.

As a redeemed porn addict, I found a program that truly gets to the root and cause while bringing the person through the process with other individuals. Totally Christ-centered from Christian men whether they be counselors, medical people or pastors. It is the Conquerseries.com from Kingdom Works. Over a million men have gone through the program.

Here are some statics that may shock you: Over 60% of pastors are going to porn. Over 50% of Christian men and close to 25% of Christian women are ensnared in Satan's deception. Go to their website for further info and video trailer. Remember, we are all conquerors.

Here is something I gleaned from CBN:

"HALT":
The acronym “HALT” may be helpful, reminding you not to get too Hungry, Angry, Lonely, or Tired. Realize that you are more vulnerable to addicting behavior during these times, then HALT – immediately stop what you are doing to pray, read your Bible, and/or call someone for prayer. Of course, you may always call The 700 Club Prayer Center at (800) 759-0700 for prayer and encouragement, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Besides this, strengthen your moral integrity. Have and cultivate a passion for God (Mark 12:28-31) 28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? 29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: 30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. To develop the passion try 3 strategies:

Be enamored with Christ (Php 3:1-10).
Saturate yourself with truth like the 2 disciples on the road to Emmaus (Luke 24:32).
Third, surrender to the Holy Spirit (1 Th. 5:19).

Next, make a covenant with your eyes (Job 31:1-12). Consider choosing covenanteyes.com Why? We men especially need our 1st thoughts when looking @ another to be “image-bearer” (Gen. 1:27). Decide to focus on facial appearance rather than physical features (Proverbs 27:20; 2 Peter 2:14). Know and practice the differences between a glance and a gaze (rear-view mirror gazes, etc.) We have help here: the inspired Word of God (2 Ti 3:16-17; Heb. 4:12), the indwelling Spirit of God (Acts 1:8; Eph 3:16), the imparted grace of God (1 Co 15:10; 2 Ti 2:1), and the indebted people of God (Heb 10:24; Ga 6:1-2).

And recall that what you do or don't do to someone else mentally or physically, either bad or good, you do to Christ (Mt 5:27-28; 25:40, 45; Acts 9:4-5).

Shun porn. Know your Four Factor Syndrome: addiction, escalation, desensitization, and incarnation. So, besides developing a passion for God and making a covenant with your eyes, engraft the Word into the torso of your soul (“receive with meekness the engrafted Word” Jas. 1:21; Heb 4:12; Ps 119:9-11; John 17:17). Battle the seductions of impurity with the most helpful (at least in my case) reference found in 1 Thessalonians 4:3-8, KJV/NKJV, especially 1 Th 4:3 “For this is the will of God, your sanctification, that you should abstain from sexual immorality. “Vessel” in the KJV of 1 Th 4:4 refers to the human body (2 Co 4:7; 1 Sam 21:5 LXX).

When Billy Graham held an evangelistic crusade in Tempe, AZ, I was there in that ASU Sun Devil Stadium Sunday, April 26, 1964.

That one crusade really made a difference in my life. Didn't I send a missive to the Class of ’66 about my nights vandalizing windows and Arcadia doors behind my Scottsdale home? That was $5,000 damage. After the crusade where I believed on the Lord Jesus Christ and was saved, I began feeling guilty about the crime and though it took 5 years (from my age of 16 until I was 21), I called the Scottsdale contractor on the phone and confessed the whole dark deed. (I had learned that restitution was something Jesus wanted me to do, according to the Bible.) The contractor basically said, “Forget it, the insurance company has already paid for that.” Whew!

And that’s not the only change that Jesus has brought about in my life. He’s delivered me from pornography and given me the power to overcome that. I, and my cousin, who doesn’t want to be named, had our own collection of Playboy magazines, but after I got saved, I tossed mine. He later became saved too and destroyed his half. I lived for girls in grade school and high school, but after my salvation experience, I live for God.

I used to be addicted to porn and other stuff. Practically (although it was definitely God who got me through it) I realized I was chasing a fix. If I tried to get sober from something else, I'd watch porn more frequently, because I wasn't getting dopamine and seretonin, like a normal person would.

I fixed my life so it wasn't unbearable anymore, and all the addictions melted away. Specifically, my relationship with some family members was causing me constant stress. The intense negative feelings could be triggered by anything and made my thoughts unbearable. I worked really hard to be able to separate from them and become independent. Then I mentally detached from them, which was hard because I still loved them and felt guilty, but I also felt free. I began filling my day with small "wins" such as having a glass of juice at the end of the day. At this point, there was nothing to "escape" from. This being paired with my desire to not be addicted, ended all the addictions in a day. Alcohol, drugs, porn and even coffee. Just my thoughts, hope it helps someone. Definitely pray.
