"And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.
Now it happened, as Jesus sat at the table in the house, that behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Him and His disciples.
"Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age.
'Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?'
"just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."
a woman came to Him having an alabaster flask of very costly fragrant oil, and she poured it on His head as He sat at the table.
"Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her."
Now Jesus stood before the governor. And the governor asked Him, saying, "Are You the King of the Jews?" Jesus said to him, "It is as you say."
Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And other little boats were also with Him.
Now as they came down from the mountain, He commanded them that they should tell no one the things they had seen, till the Son of Man had risen from the dead.
"Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her."
Then the multitude, crying aloud, began to ask him to do just as he had always done for them.
(as it is written in the law of the Lord, "Every male who opens the womb shall be called holy to the LORD"),
Now Jesus Himself began His ministry at about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, the son of Heli,
So it was, as the multitude pressed about Him to hear the word of God, that He stood by the Lake of Gennesaret,
So they answered and said, "John the Baptist, but some say Elijah; and others say that one of the old prophets has risen again."
So He said to them, "When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
"For as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so also the Son of Man will be to this generation.
And as He said these things to them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to assail Him vehemently, and to cross-examine Him about many things,
